SANTA BY STEAM - 2009 2nd Weekend

What a difference a week makes!
Sunday 13th December - bright sun and blue skies

Between each Santa by Steam service
the carriages are swept through and tables cleaned

And of course Santa and his helpers will be in his
Grotto to meet the children and their Mums and Dads

You get unparalleled views of the River Dart
and the beauty of Devon in winter

And at Totnes Littlehempston Station there's time
to find a last minute bargain at the Victorian Market

Before you leave us be sure to let your children
ride on the roundabout whilst you listen to the music

Father Christmas greets all of his guests
before settling into his Grotto

At times Buckfastleigh seemed more like a catwalk
than a platform. Here two models show the latest trends
in Christmas hats.  Sarah looks on in bewilderment.

The real stars of the Christmas tree
as always with their welcoming smiles

Do you remember as a child your first glimpse
of Father Christmas?  It's a truly magical moment!

And Father Christmas gives you a present -
as a taster for what's to come on the 25th
IF YOU'RE GOOOOOOD!
The Grotto really is a triumph of design over
available space. Here the children are waiting
to see the great man himself.

In advance of the Climate Change Summit Santa has a frank discussion about global warming - which of
course could affect him to a larger degree.

Two huge firsts in this baby's life - meeting Santa
and riding on the South Devon Railway

Can you see the rain dear - it's
heading our way

Wonder when the PC Brigade will say there must
be a 'Mother Christmas' too. Here's one candidate.

Could this be the end of the line
for Father Christmas?  And will the
locomotive give him the run around?

However you look at it our Santa Specials
continue to provide sackfulls of magic
for children and, we suspect, their parents

'Joey the Eyes' keeps a lookout as a gang
of desparate Totterrorists sneak up on Santa
with their gettaway vehicle, intent on a kidnap attempt!
